Hello, I do have a question concerning my 2015 taxes. I claimed my son as a dependent and he was 17 years old during the 2015 tax year.

Why did I not receive a child credit for him in 2015 if he was 17 years old?

Hi there-

Age Test - To qualify, a child must have been under age 17 – age 16 or younger – at the end of the tax year.
