Hello. I did digital assets import from Kraken and it was success, I see my account was imported to Turbotax. But I do not see any transactions from it and when I click next button and TurboTax performs "Giving your transactions one last look…", it ends up with a an error "Some wallets or exchanges may be missing". Kraken itself does not have tax document generated for me. I do not want to import each transaction manually because I have thousand of them. What should I do?
You state that you have many Kraken transactions. Has Kraken prepared any sort of 1099-B or broker statement? You may elect to report summary information.
Your brokerage statements would include a summary of your transactions, grouped by sales category, for example, Box A short-term covered or Box D long-term covered.
You will enter the summary info instead of each individual transaction. Follow these steps.
Kraken did not prepare any documents for me. Kraken document/tax page is empty.
I have few thousands transactions in 2022. Am I expected to manually enter every transaction in Turbotax since automatically sync does not work properly? Or can I just give capital gain/loss as a one total number?
I want to add, that however I do not have 1099-B, I can export all my transactions as an excel and calculate total proceeds (sales) and cost basis from step 17. I cannot complete step 20, because I do not have this form (only excel file with transactions/ledgers). Is it way around how to pass this step?
Best,
Dmitry
