Hello! How do I know what dropdown to use for box 14? In my W2 it just states the number 14 followed by a letter while the dropdowns have more specific designations. Thx!

If you don't know the specific designation (category) for your W-2 Box 14, scroll down and select "Other". TurboTax will figure out if it impacts your return or not. If we need more information, we'll ask you.

• You can also contact your employer to see if it's any of the categories listed in TurboTax.

Employers can put just about anything in box 14; it's a catch-all for items that don't have their own dedicated box on the W-2.
