Have an International client struggline with providing me a 1099-MISC. My question is if I need to simply enter this as general income or if he needs to take other steps?

I have been consulting for this client since summer of 2016.

You do not need a 1099-Misc, or anything else from him. You simply enter the income from your own accounting records. It is self employment income.

If your have already entered 1099-Misc(s) from other clients, you will reach a screen asking your to enter other income from this self employment activity (business).  Otherwise, type> business income <in the find box.

Thank you so much, we were really unsure what to do with this.
