Has anyone been rejected for a SS# belonging to a deceased spouse when the spouse is not deceased?

My spouse is not deceased, but e-file says he is. Has anyone else had this happen?

if you're sure you entered the correct SSN then you'll have to contact the Social Security Adm to find out how to correct their records and report this to the IRS.

SSA told my husband nothing was wrong with his number. We filed paper and unfortunately we forgot to sign it. Had to send back signed paperwork. Now it's held up even longer!
