Getting TurboTax Online to recognize/use the new license/product downloaded from Amazon?

I've download TurboTax Premier from Amazon and installed it. I've even signed into my Intuit account in the tool running on my PC. Problem is the Intuit account does not show the new version, entering my Amazon order code & zipcode isn't recognized and the new TT running on the PC doesn't link up with my existing account/tax data at Intuit.

How do you get the Intuit account to recognize/use the new license/product?

TurboTax Online and TurboTax Desktop (CD/Download) are two separate and distinct platforms.  If you purchased your download from Amazon, your new software is only on your computer.  It is NOT in the Intuit account from when you used TurboTax Online.

If you've decided to change from using TurboTax Online to TurboTax Desktop, you can get your tax data file from your 2020 return you filed using TurboTax Online and transfer that file into your new Desktop software.   You may need to "begin" your 2021 return in TurboTax Online first before saving your tax data file.  See the instructions included in the TurboTax FAQ linked below.

How do I switch from TurboTax Online to the TurboTax CD/Download software?

Well that would have been good to know before purchasing the desktop version. These are both Intuit products. Is there a way to convert/upgrade a desktop license to the Online version?

Since you purchased your software from Amazon, I can't say for sure.  But try contacting TurboTax Customer Support for assistance.  Use the info I've linked below.  When you're asked to enter your topic, enter "billing issue".  Only a Support agent would be able to assist you.

See the screenshot I'm adding here for a comparison of Online vs. Desktop.  You may find that you prefer Desktop after all.  The pricing is quite different between the two, as well.
