If you are an AZ resident, they will want all the W2Gs.

If a non-resident of AZ then they will want just the ones with AZ taxes withheld.

I'm an AZ non-resident and of our 36 W-2G's only 6 are from AZ and of those, 4 have Federal tax withheld and none have AZ  state tax withheld. I just talked with Ebony @ AZ Dept. of Revenue and she stated (after confirming) that is no AZ law regarding eFiling if over 30 W-2G's and besides they only want     W-2G's from AZ attached to their 140NR!  Thus,Turbo Tax should remove any AZ W-2G quantity restrictions from their eFiling programing and want Turbotax to eFile my AZ return, using just the 6 AZ W-2G's.

Why would any state require W-2G's from another state? Turbo eFiled my Iowa return this year (few days ago) did they require all 36 of my W-2G's or just the 2 IA ones?

Some states require more things than the Federal or other states require.  Part of the reason is tax fraud, and when the W2G is entered, they may not have input the information from the issuer of the W2G yet, in the matching program they have and they want to ensure they are not issuing refunds for money that may have never been paid in.  That is one reason.  For example, IRS has issued refunds to some when the W2G when not valid and then they can't recover the money.  ZA is trying to prevent that and they call some of the casinos to verify the amounts before the refunds are released (not all but a sample).  the efile date transmitted does not transmit all the data.

I talked to the AZ Dept. of Revenue a couple of hours ago and I have to pay, NO refund due from AZ! Ebony confirmed the answer to my question and stated that answer to me. Here is what Ebony (800) 352-4090 discovered from a "subject matter expert" in her tax Revenue office: 1. There is no restrictions on the number of W-2G's that can be eFilled;  2. AZ Dept. of Revenue only requires W-2G's from their state; 3. I just need Turbo to eFile a form 140NR with ONLY the six W-2G's from AZ, along with whatever other tax paperwork is required by that specific state. Can you please pass this along to the appropriate personel who can verify with the AZ Dept. of Revenue and get my 140NR eFiled so that I can pay them?

1. I'm not an AZ resident.  2. Of our total 36 W-2G's only 6 are from AZ, none have state taxes withheld & 4 have federal withheld.  3. The Turbo Tax tool stated the they can't eFile my return, per AZ law, if more than 30 W-2G's.  4.  Turbo knows there are only 6 from AZ and if that's all AZ requires why can't Turbo Tax eFile my AZ state return?

I am still looking at this, I know we have to follow AZ guidelines but this is a little strange
