Free edition to deluxe edition for adding 1099 MiSC for amended return

I used the free turbo tax for my tax return I filed and received my refund already.  After receiving my refund, I needed to amend and add a 1099 Misc form so I had to upgrade from free to deluxe which I clicked.

Afterwards, from my fidelity account, I was. given a free turbo tax deluxe so I clicked onto the tab which took me to turbo tax

When I completed the amend information and ready to file,  it says I needed to pay for the turbo deluxe for both federal and state

Is this correct and I need to pay?

You will need to enter the service code you received to get the free version.  See the instructions below:

A service code is a discount code for TurboTax. You might receive one through a marketing offer or after contacting us with an issue.

Note: If your TurboTax navigation looks different from what’s described here, learn more.

Here's where you enter it:

  1. Sign in to your TurboTax account.
  2. Open or continue your return, if you haven't already done so.
  3. Once inside your return, select File from the menu.
  4. On the following screen, select Continue.
  5. On the Just X more steps and we'll file your returns screen, select Start next to Step 1.
  6. The following screen has a list of all your fees. Scroll to the bottom of the screen and select I have a service code.
  7. Follow the onscreen instructions to enter your service code, then select Continue.
