Form M-1310

In filling out form M-1310 as the spouse of a deceased partner for a joint return (2024) …..I am confused if I should select item (a) or item (c) on the form. I am the surviving spouse ..and.. I am the executor of my deceased wife’s estate. Please give guidance.

Pease select item (a) if you are requesting a previous refund be reissued. 

If you are only filing a joint return for 2024, Form M-1310 should not be required. 

 

Can you clarify if you are simply filing your joint return or asking for a refund to be reissued?
