Form i-709 Line 7 for green card holder

Greetings,

I am a green card holder, and Form i-709 applies to me when I send money to my son as a gift. As I am filling the form, I do not understand what I am supposed to write in line 7 (Citizenship). The instructions only talk about two situations (citizen resident and noncitizen nonresident), but neither applies to me (moreover, claiming yourself a citizen when you are not AND claiming yourself a non-resident BOTH disqualify you from ever obtaining citizenship). What am I supposed to write there?

Sincerely yours,

Overcurious

@overcurious ,

(a) looking at the instructions for  line seven  -- what it is distinguishing  is between  US citizens of two types --  (a) US citizen as those who are domiciled in US and became a citizen  by birth  in the US or  by  residing in the US and  gaining citizenship  OR   (b)  those whom  are not  domiciled in US territories ( like Guam  etc. ) and US citizen  because of being born and or residing in US territories.   For purposes of Fomr 709  the former is US citizen while the latter is Non-Resident and Non-citizen.

(b) You as a resident  ( Green Card / Resident for Tax purposes  ) show your own citizenship ( that your passport  shows )  on line 7

Does this make sense  ?

Is there more I can do for you ?
