If you received a K-1 from a partnership or S-Corporation or received REIT dividend that could also trigger the Qualified Business Income (QBI) deduction (Form 8995A).

Form 8995 can be triggered by:

  • Form 1099-DIV with an entry in box 5.
  • A rental activity with active participation.
  • Form K-1 from an estate, trust, partnership, S-corporation or investment.
  • Self-employment activity.

I have 8895 form on my tax refund but do not own a business nor did I receive a 1099 or any forms asking for this information.

@Elysmom As long as you have not already filed or paid for your return, here is how you can Delete a form from your Turbo Tax online return.

hi, I have an entry in box 5. However, I don't own a business. Should I still send this form?
