Form 8812 - Credit for Qualifying Children Issue

I don't have children in my return and this form keeps asking me to input "Advance payments received must be entered."   I cannot delete the form either.

Help?

Everyone gets to answer that question because some parents claim a child on alternate years. Just enter zero.

When I checked for errors on Federal Tax before sending in, I got asked if we had received payments in March 2021 with no explanation.  As we had received stimulus checks I answered YES.  Returned from Florida on $/16 to find a letter from IRS that we owed $619 because of $1200 on line on form 8812.  Turbo Tax never explained about the question I answered YES to while filling out form.  Now IRS wants their money today 4/18 which we should not owe as we have no dependent children.  Can't get ahold of anyone at IRS or Turbo Tax to take care of this.  HELP!!! Schedule 8812 is for the Child Tax Credit.

TurboTax asks about your Advanced Child Tax Credits as well as your stimulus payments. They are not the same things.

If you entered that you received 1,200 advanced child tax credit, the IRS may be asking for repayment. Stimulus payments

If you never received advanced payments, you should have answered NO to that question.

Please look over your 1040 and Schedule 8812 to see if you reported getting payments or if you received a credit.

Look at your IRS online account to see what they have on record.
