Form 4684

I'm filling out form 4684 due to a Casualty loss from a Federally Declared Disaster Flood. How do I list the loss to my home and the loss to the personal property inside my home (ie, furniture, appliances, etc...)?

As one casualty loss.  You need to keep track of everything that you lost as well as the replacement costs but for the purposes of putting it on your tax return it will be one big number.  You will retain all of the back up documentation in case you are ever questioned about it.  The one big number is your casualty loss, less your insurance reimbursement.
