Form 2848

I've read a variety of posts on form 2848 -- filling out for a parent so I can submit taxes.

If I paper file, do I simply attach the 2848 (along with supporting POA legal forms) to the 1040 paperwork?  Sign the 1040 as POA, and mailed to the address noted for the 1040.

Is it advisable to submit paper to keep all the documentation together?  Or is e-filing with followup 8453/2848 equally acceptable?

Thanks!

Yes, you can paper file and include the Form 2848 with the tax return, however, I would advise choosing to e-file with the follow-up mailing Form 2848 with the Form 8453 is just as easy and could prove to be the fastest way to resolve and complete the tax return.
