Foreign Spouse Foreign Born Daughter Stimulus Eligibility

I lived in the United States throughout the entire 2020 tax year.

My wife is not an American citizen, has never been to the United States, and is awaiting a visa to immigrate.

My daughter was born overseas to my wife in 2020. She is an American citizen. She has never been to the United States.

I was married to my wife for the entire 2020 tax year.

I only received stimulus payments for myself in 2020 (1200 and 600), as my daughter was not yet born and did not appear as a dependent on my 2019 tax filing.

Are my wife or daughter eligible for past or future stimulus payments despite not yet living in the United States?

It appears your wife and daughter would not be eligible.

Generally, if you were a U.S. citizen or U.S. resident alien in 2020, were not a dependent of another taxpayer and have a Social Security number that is valid for employment, you are eligible for the Recovery Rebate Credit.

Your daughter, who is a US citizen can be made eligible with a valid social security number before the due date of your tax return (15 Apr) or if you get an extension (15 Oct).  In this link scroll down to "How to get a TIN" and see the "SSN"
