Foreign address and phone number for filing

Hi,

I moved to my home country from US earlier this year in January for good. I was a US resident for the entire 2019. I'm preparing to file my tax now. I see that IRS and TT allows you to enter a foreign address but with caveats. It allows only 49 characters in the address row while I need more. Address in my country is neither standardized nor short like those in US. What should I do in this case? Right now, my address is spilling over to the "city" box.

Also, what about the phone number? If I enter my home country in the address, do I need to provide the country code as well for the phone number?

Try abbreviating the address as best you can to make it fit.

You can't enter an international phone number in the Mailing Address & Phone number section of the Personal Interview.   You can enter the phone number of a relative or friend in the U.S. or a "dummy number" (800-555-1212). This will allow you to complete your return, and the IRS will identify your entry as a placeholder number -- if the IRS needs to contact you they will do it by mail.
