the refund should come to the address on the return if the DD info was invalid. this can take 4 - 8 weeks.

did you move?

that can further delay refund if your address was not updated with USPS and it's still advisable to file change of address form with the iRS.

No I didn't move I used my wife's rushcard account as in past but this time they rejected it.  And never sent a update until after several emails sense the 16th. I don't know if the irs has it back or anything do to our living situation that's all we have. I used her account for stimulus & they sent my current state return as I know is different days after rejection of Fed refund.

Yes, it should come in the mail, if you have not moved and the IRS has your current mailing address.  It can take 4-6 weeks for you to receive your check in the mail after it was rejected by the bank.

You can contact the IRS at 800-829-1040 to ask if they have any additional information and to verify that they do have the correct mailing address.
