Filling Virginia W4. Do I claim myself as dependent?

I am a single person, with only one job and no children. i am filling virginia W4. and for the question in line 3 "Write the number of dependents you will be allowed to claim  on your income tax return (do not include your spouse)", do I write 1 for myself, or 0?

Am not familiar with the Virginia W-4 form, but your state it asks the number of dependents you are claiming on your tax return.  That would be zero as you say you do not have any qualified dependents.  If it asked how many exemptions you have that, in my opinion, would be one, a personal exemption for yourself.  Tom D.
