Filling taxes as a full time student in High school and working. Should I get any credit?

Filling taxes as a full time student in High school and working.

I did not receive any form from my high school.

When I fill the taxes through Turbo Tax, I'm reaching a section where I can enter some expenses related my education.

Should I enter the following items?

- Books

- Buses

- Meals

- etc.

Are those items converted into credits for my taxes?

No, as a high school student you don't get any education credits.  The education credits are for college students.  Refer to the TurboTax article What Are Education Tax Credits?

Also, since you are a high school student, your parents probably claim you as a dependent on their tax returns. Check with them before you file. If they claim you as a dependent, when completing your taxes, make sure that you state that you can be claimed as a dependent on someone else’s tax return.

Refer to the TurboTax article: How do I indicate that I can be claimed as a dependent on someone else's return? for instructions.
