Filing in Ohio we used TurboTax the past few years and moved in 2020 to a municipality that we are being asked to pay taxes now. RITA. How can I see if we paid them?

Received a letter in mail saying more or less taht we haven't paid taxes to RITA and we should but I had never heard of this (regional income tax agency) until just now.

Ohio has a complicated system of local, school district and city taxes.  You have to make an effort to be aware of the localities you are subject to being taxed by.   If you live OR work in a RITA locality you pay RITA.   Preparing a RITA return can be done as an extra step when you prepare your state of OH return, but you have to file the RITA return yourself by mail.  It is not e-filed.  Many folks (including me) find it to be easier to use the RITA website instead of using the TT program for RITA tax.

City Tax Returns

TurboTax only prepares a few city or local tax returns as an extra step in your state return.  For most local tax returns you are on your own.  Your only record of paying your local tax will be your own bank/credit card records
