Filing 18 return for my deceased father. He passed away in 19. TurboTax is filling in that he self-prepared even though marked him as deceased and entered date of death.

"Self-prepared" only means that the return is not being prepared by a registered tax professional, but by "the taxpayer" or a non-registered preparer such as yourself with Power of Attorney.  We apologize for your loss, also.
