Filed taxes under wrong phone number.

Im in the military and stationed over seas. It wouldn't let me finish my taxes without using a valid US number. My number is japanese. So i used what i thought was my dads. Turns out he got a new phone. Already filed my taxes... Is this bad?

You won't have any problems from entering an incorrect phone number.

The IRS asks for your phone number in case they have a question about your return (this is rare).  If they have questions and the phone number is incorrect or out of service, they will mail them to you.

I entered the wrong phone number on my daughter's taxes last year on Turbotax and now she can't get her code because it does not match the phone, numbers were transposed.  She bought Turbotax herself this year to do her own
