Filed my taxes on 2/19/2025 (no errors) then Turbotax updated today and now the return changed

Printed up my 1040-SR and filed electronically on 2/19/2025. No errors reported. I clicked the "forms" button and nothing was flagged. Today I went back to print up another copy of 1040-SR. Turbotax updated, two items were flagged and now I owe money. Line 22 blank on 2/19/2025 version, not blank on latest. There was no schedule 2 printed on original. I manually filled out 2 - 1099R originally. During the update it looks like it pulled the same information electronically, and now one of the 1099R is flagged and also the 5329.

Help!

You sent me down the right path. Please tell the programmers that if a user manually enters a 1099-R to NOT automatically download and overwrite the original entry. In this case your software after download, unchecked an RMD box and that caused the problem. That's a major bug.

It sounds like somehow the Forms 1099-R got duplicated during the update. I suggest you review your original return to see if it was filled out correctly, compare it with the more recent version and investigate where there are differences. If you find the original return contained the proper income entries in the right places on the form, you probably don't need to amend the return. The original return would be the one filed with the IRS, the newer form would just be in TurboTax but wouldn't be filed anywhere. If you find the return needs to be amended, wait until your submitted return is processed  as sometimes the IRS will make adjustments that can negate the need for filing the amended return.
