Filed for divorce, though still married and living separately. Why is RMD more than the required $3000 and why asking for his as well?

In Ohio. No idea who his brokerage is, but RMD for only me not him.

@plynch1728 Can you clarify your question?.  If you are filing a separate return, you would only indicate your RMD.  If you filed a joint return, perhaps you are seeing information transferred from last year's return- if so, you may have to delete any of his information that does not have to be reported on  a separate return.  You enter the required minimum distribution after you enter the 1099-R entry.
