Filed federal but state wouldn't go through, says transmission not available and all forms are available. Tried clearing cache everywhere, why is it saying this?

This is for personal taxes.

If the e-filed federal tax return has not been accepted by the IRS and you are e-filing the state return after e-filing the federal then you will get this message.

Okay thank you hopefully that's the issue then! I'll wait to file once federal is accepted.

I don't think that is the issue, I e-filed my federal and it has already been accepted, and when I try to file my state, I receive the same message, so I don't think it has to do with anything with your federal being accepted.

I'm having the same issue.  I've never had an issue e-Filing my state taxes before.  If somebody finds a resolution I would love to hear it.  I really don't want to have to mail my taxes if at all possible.

I spoke with someone at turbo tax today about this and was told that a lot of state forms have still not been cleared/updated/or approved for submission through the software yet and she was confused as well as their being a date to efile but forms are still being worked on/approved in the system. She also said that most states are probably following the federal accepting date of Jan 27th and that is a good date to attempt again because then the state forms will be updated and approved with the software for efiling/transmitting. But she did say it's nothing on our (the filers) end at this time is on the software and forms end.
