I dont know whats going on but TurboTax 2022 is a POS. It keeps raising security requirements. I want to save my file and it says i dont have the authority. I noticed that it says my file is locked in the upper right corner..dont know why...
The following steps (which were recommended by someone else in another post) seem to have solved this issue: (a) Restart the computer; (b) Start Turbotax and, when it asks for a keychain password, enter your computer screensaver or login password and click "always allow".
i already did what was suggested. Now Turbotax says i dont have authority to save or open the file.
Im ready to delete this POS and go somewhere else. Dont know whats going on but 2022 Turbotax should have never been released!!!
The problem is i save my tax information on an external drive. I have been doing this for over 20 years. But for some reason TurboTax now barks over an external drive claiming the file is "locked."
I can save and open it on my desktop but not in the external drive.
Any suggestions?
I thought the program and the tax file both had to be on the same drive ... did you do something different this year ?
