Expat: How do I account for my RSUs sold to "withhold to cover" I do not have a W-2 and all my income and shares vested while living abroad.

How do I account for my RSUs that were taken out by Morgan Stanley for taxes "withhold to cover"?  I do not have a W-2 and all my income and shares vested while living abroad.  I also do not see these reflected in any forms (1099s) given by Morgan Stanley.  Thank you.

Do you mean the sale of the shares is not included on the 1099, or that the tax withheld does not show?  If so, how do you know the amount withheld?

1.) I don't see it reflected in my 1099.  Should it be there?  If so, why is it only accounted for if I sell when I am taxed when it vests?

2.) I know it was withheld because my broker has it on the statement when vests.  Example: when it vests they report (report is not a tax form) 200 shares vest, 50 withheld, so I have 150 share available to sell.

Thanks.
