Error in entering health-related acounts

In the interview, I erroneously checked both myself and my spouse as having HSA's on the "Tell us about health-related accounts you had in 2019" screen. After entering data for myself, I realized only my spouse has an account. So I unchecked the box that I had an HSA. But TurboTax remembers all the entries I made (contributions, withdrawals) and adds them to my wife's contributions. I had to re-check the box, zero-out my entries, and then go back and uncheck the box.

This is probably a bug.

The program holds on to any information that it feels is important. Health information that was entered would need to be used.

Anytime information needs to be deleted you have to go through to the end of entering to start deleting. By changing the first answer, the program had to do something with the rest of the information. You did the right thing to delete all the information by performing the same actions as the first time you entered. Those are the correct steps by design.
