Error code 1619?

Did you get error code 1619 when installing TurboTax? If you did, please try the following and see if one of these solutions will help you install TurboTax successfully:

If you are using Windows XP you need to make sure that you are using Microsoft Windows XP with Service Pack 3+ in order for TurboTax to install properly. 

If the same problem persists after downloading the updated installer, try the steps in Microsoft Article ID 315346.

If this error occurs while installing the CD:

  1. Check your CD and your CD drive.
  2. Try installing TurboTax from your hard drive instead of directly from the CD.
  3. Try installing the CD on a different computer, if one is available. If it installs successfully, the CD drive on the original computer is most likely at fault.

If this error occurs while updating:

  1. Reinstall TurboTax.
  2. Try updating again. If the problem persists, forcefully uninstall and reinstall TurboTax.

This is so not right.  I have installed, deleted, reinstalled TurboTax three times!  I have gone to Windows and checked if I was missing some updates .  the problem is with your Deluxe program   I got my taxes finished and tried to file them but as soon as I tried to pay it wanted to upgrade the lasted updates and then locked up!  Had to again call your finance Dept to pay and complete my taxes  Now I am trying to get my daughters taxes started and I received the error code 1690 again  Do I have to delete the program again???
