Entering 1099-MISC for research study income indicates "Sole Proprietorship"

I searched and read the community postings regarding receiving income and a 1099-MISC for participating in a medical research study. When I complete the form, it causes me to be categorized as having a sole proprietorship (and I made sure I answered "No" about if I was trying to earn money). When I get to the "Here's a Picture of Your 2022 Income" where it compares 2021 to 2022 income numbers, the money I entered from the 1099-MISC is displayed as a Sole Proprietor Business for 2022.

I other posts that suggest to instead enter it as Less Common Income > Miscellaneous Income > Other Reportable Income > Other Taxable Income, but then that screen states "Do NOT enter income reported on Form 1099-MISC". So this is very confusing and makes me question the correct way to claim this income.

Thank you for any insight you can share!

In your case, if it's not self-employment income, it is reported as Other income.
