endless loop of not being able to file due to software update

Can not file due to endless loop of "there is an update available for your version of turbotax". I then go to updates and it says that software is up to date.  It looks like this has been a problem since Feb.  Please advise!

Please see the TurboTax help topic for assistance with updating your software: Manually Update TurboTax for Windows Software (Basic, Deluxe, Premier, Home & Business). https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/updating/help/manually-update-turbotax-for-windows-software-basic-...

Also, try turning off your virus protection and then turn it back on after your return saves. Please click here for the TurboTax Help link on how to disable virus protection. https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/installing/help/how-to-disable-[product key removed]ction-software/00/2...

After using TT for over a decade this will be the last time. This looks to have been a problem since January or February and still hasn't been fixed. How is that possible?? I use TT to simplify the filing process and save time! I've spent the better part of the day messing with this problem and now it looks like I'll need to send a paper return by tomorrow after I've paid $24.99 to efile for Wisconsin. That's on top of the $70 I paid for the program. I would've been better off having an accountant file for me.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled, run update a number of times. My federal has been accepted so then tried state. Still no go.

Any other suggestions?
