An extension?  Stop messing with that.   You say you already filed and it was accepted.  An extension was only needed if you could not file by April 15, 2024 and needed more time. You do not need an extension to amend a  return and it is now impossible to request an extension for a 2023 return.     If you already filed and the return was accepted, you need to wait for the return to be fully processed and then amend to fix the mistake or add missing information.
