electronic filing the next year when IRS has processed previous year's amended return?

I filed an amended return with the IRS in 2019 because a stock broker updated his 1099 during March.  The IRS web site acknowledges they have received the amended return and 'apologize' for not having processed it.  Usually when you file electronically - TurboTax needs your previous year's AGI which is clearly different for the return I first filed and the Amended return.  Which one should I use or should I not file electronically.  Likewise this holds up the state filing too.  Thanks for any help - Ron

You would use the original AGI from your 2019 return for the identification step in filing your 2020 return.  If that is rejected try a "zero".

Where is the AGI number used?  By Turbotax in verifying my identity or by the IRS.  That is who would reject it if they didn't like it?  Thanks,  Ron

The IRS requires an AGI for identity verification. Your original AGI would be on your original 2019 TurboTax return.

Follow this link to find your AGI.
