El Capitan 10.11.6 and installing TurboTax Deluxe CD for 2017

We have a 2015 macbook running El Capitan 10.11.6 (latest version).  We read that mac users on 10.11.6 El Capitan are having  problems installing the TurboTax 2017 Deluxe CD and mac users are getting error messages.  We haven't tried installing the CD yet because we want to be sure we can install successfully without a problem.  Can you please answer these 3 questions:    1) Are ALL mac users running 10.11.6 El Capitan having installation problems?  (2)  Or, is it affecting just certain macbook model years or ALL model years?  (Our macbook is a 2015 model)   and (3)  Should be upgrade to Sierra 10.12.6 before attempting to install the CD?  Please help us !  Thanks and blessings !
