My e-return rejected and I need to now print and mail my return. Thats's fine, but what I don't know is if my tax payment still be deducted from my checking account or do I now need to write and check and send with my mailed return

Once the return is rejected, it cancels everything. So you can mail a check, or pay directly on the IRS website and /or your state website if need be. @lkatker
