E-Filing - Expired License & No State ID

My husbands license is expired and he has no state ID - I entered in his license number with the expiration from 2013 and the software accepted it, however I'm afraid it may get kicked back somehow and I don't want to waste unnecessary time.  Does anyone have experience with this?  I know they're using it to verify who we are when e-filing, but will they have a problem with this method if the form of ID is not current and has been expired for so long?

Currently, providing this info is not required to file your taxes in the state of Washington. However, in some states, omitting this info may delay the processing of your return. For more information please click the link below.
