Dumb question. I’m on Medicare with a supplement insurance. Who do I need the proof of insurance from?

Generally, your Medicare is going to be the insurance that is qualified coverage for the Health Insurance section.

Medicare sends "Evidence of Coverage" each year - it is sent in September of each year.  Find this information here.

Whether your Medicare qualifies for the Health Insurance depends on which Medicare coverage you have.

"You have minimum essential coverage if you have:

  • Part A coverage OR
  • Both Part A and Part B coverage OR
  • A Medicare Advantage Part C plan"

You can find this information and more by clicking here and looking at "What you have to do".
