I, too, have the same problem.
Surprised at the lack of response from the community.
Guess everyone is busy?
Or, like us, no one else knows what the heck it means either. It makes no sense.
I have problem. My numbers for 2019 were inserted by program but yet they say they don't match.
In my case my K1 was listed twice. Don't know how it happened but it was entered twice. Go to Forms and look if it is listed twice if so delete one. I did and everything was fine. I got help by calling Turbo Tax and talked with one of their CPA's and she found the problem.
I called Turbo Tax and reread the tax forms today and discovered the problem in my return was that the 2019 tax numbers did not carry forward correctly.
The amount that did not carry over was Line 10 of Form 4562, Carryover or disallowed deduction from Line 13 of 2019 Form 4562. It did properly carryover on the Federal Carryover Worksheet, and this difference was the error that the error checker was finding. Unfortunately, the only solution was to start a new tax return, perform the transfer of 2019 taxes again, verify they transferred, and then redo the entire tax return in the new tax return.
It seems that I am not the only one with this issue. Previous contact from another user has similar msg when running a check.. My issue is also one probably created when 2019 taxes were transferred into 2020 where all the 2019 info did not transfer in properly. The solution according to the one case I read was due to an incomplete transfer of data from 2019 was to start a new return. That is pretty bad to have to re generate the entire tax over a failed transfer.
