Does Turbotax home & business keep track of carry-overs federal & State? If not, why not?

As long as you use Turbotax every year, it will keep track of your carry-overs. It will bring this information over during the setup, when it asks you if you want to use a previous years return to get your input started. But remember, you can't skip a year. I had an accountant do my taxes last year, and of course, there was no automatic carry-over of information

I have used TurboTax for several years consecutively.  It did not appear to bring anything forward.  I really do not understand the IRS rules well so the fact that it did not bring things forward may be built into the program.  In any case, it is inconsequential because the standard deduction was greater than our itemized deduction.
