Does TurboTax file my w-2 in an electronic filing?

Or do I need to follow up and mail in my w-2 to the feds and state? The states involved are New York and New Jersey. Thank you.

When you e-file a return (for either IRS or NY/NJ) the W-2s are not required to be transmitted with the return, nor mailed in separately.

Simply keep the W-2 and other income forms for your records in case the IRS or states specifically ask to see them in the future.
