Does the $29 fee include the cost of filing state and federal tax?

If you want to E-File your State Taxes then they will charge you $20 or take the money from your Refund.  Federal E-File is free.

If you purchased the TurboTax Desktop Download version of either Deluxe or Premier, the Federal e-file is included.  There is an additional $39 fee for each state to be e-filed.

If you are using the TurboTax Online version you will be billed for the Federal return at the rate of the level you are using, for example, Self-employed, Deluxe, etc., plus the $39 to e-file each state you are filing.

@AliciaP1   In the Desktop program the state is only $20 to efile.   Probably will go up to $25 on March 1.  If you want it deducted from a federal refund there is a Extra $40 Refund Processing Service charge (45 in California) for that.

Or it is $40 to buy additional state programs for a different state.
