Does the 10% tax bracket for married filing jointly end at $20,550? I saw $22,550 on a Turbo Tax help screen. Why is there a difference?

Yes, for 2022 the top of the 10% tax bracket for married filing jointly is $20,550.


The figure in the help screen might just be a typographical error. If you see an incorrect amount in TurboTax, please tell us exactly where you see the incorrect figure, and post a screen shot if possible. We'll notify TurboTax of the error.

Note that the sample calculation on the second row of the chart uses the correct $20,550 figure, even though the formula on that row shows the wrong figure.
