Does AR(Arkansas) automatically file extension if my federal extension is approved?

I recently filed for a federal extension and currently am waiting for the approval. If it is approved, do I have to file for another extension for Arkansas or is it automatically extended as well?

Yes. You do not need to file a separate Arkansas extension form.

Here is the language from Arkansas:

If you have already filed a federal extension, you do not have to file a state extension.  The State of Arkansas will honor an accepted federal extension and your due date will be the same as the federal return.  You will need to check the appropriate box on the front of your Arkansas return when you file.
