My Wife and I are doing Married Filing Separately for the first time living in California which is a Community Property State (makes sense for us since she's back in Fellowship training and pursing PSLF, so benefiting from loan repayment deduction) . We have read conflicting things on how to approach W2's for our separate Tax Returns and would appreciate anyone's experience in this situation. Initially we started completing with just our own W2's and then listing the shared info on the Form 8958 section through TurboTax online.
