Hi NPA4!  Thanks for participating in our event today.  Great question.  The short answer is most likely not.  Any year that you earn less than the standard deduction, you don't need to file a return.  For 2022 that amount is $12950 for a single person, $25900 for a married couple, or $19400 for a head of household with qualifying dependent.  So unless you managed to make over $12000 in 3 days you shouldn't need to file.

Note:  the exception is if you are self-employed (independent contractor).  In that case you have to file if you make over $400, in order to calculate self employment taxes.

Hope that helps!  🙂
