Do I report babysitting for relative on my taxes?

So I babysat my nephews for my sister while she worked. It wasn’t for money but she decided she would give me $25 a day whenever I did babysit which was ok with me because like I said I wasn’t doing it for the money or as a “job” but more so because I wanted to help her and I could spend some time with my nephews as well. I was wondering if I have to report this on my taxes? Also if she were to claim the “Child and Dependent Care Tax Credit” does that affect me or change things for me in any way?

You only need to report the income if she claims  the “Child and Dependent Care Tax Credit” (or uses employer tax free Dependent care benefits). In that case, she has to report your SS# to the IRS .

Otherwise, the money is just a gift.
