Do I qualify for my brother's social security if he lived with me when he died?

My brother lost everything in hurricane Ike. I supported him. He committed suicide a year later.

No you are not eligible for any Social Security benefits due to the death of your brother.

See Social Security Publication No. 05-10084 - https://www.ssa.gov/pubs/EN-05-10084.pdf

When you die, certain members of your family may be eligible for survivors benefits. These include widows, widowers (and divorced widows and widowers), children, and dependent parents.
