Do I need to file my 1095-A when I only had marketplace ins for 4 months and now have health insurance through my job. This did not come up when inputting my information through the app. Please advi

Yes, you are required to enter the Form 1095-A on your tax return so that the Premium Tax Credit Form 8962 will be completed to determine if you have to pay back any healthcare credit you received.

 

To enter your Form 1095-A -

  • Click on Federal Taxes (Personal using Home and Business)
  • Click on Deductions and Credits
  • Click on I'll choose what I work on (if shown)
  • Scroll down to Medical
  • On Affordable Care Act (Form 1095-A), click the start or update button

Or enter 1095-a in the Search box located in the upper right of the program screen. Click on Jump to 1095-a
