do I need to file if only made 2373.74

That depends.   Were you a W-2 employee and was that your only income?    If so, you are below the filing threshold and would only want to file to seek a refund if you have any amounts in box 2 or 17 of your W-2.

 

If that was self-employment income on a !099NEC, you are required to file a tax return.

If that $2400 was earnings on a W-2, you are not required to file, but if you had any income tax withheld in Box 2, you can get a refund of that, so you should file a return.  

 

If the money was self-employment, you need to file a Schedule C with Form 1040.   Or if you had Obamacare and received advanced payments, you are required to file a return.
