Do I need to file if I am on SSI

Did you receive an SSA-1099, or are you on Supplemental Security Income?  Any other income at all for 2020?  Did you receive stimulus #1 and #2?

I see you are asking from TT Live Basic, but you can probably use TT Free.

Go to Federal > Wages and Income > Interest.  Add $1 of interest (make up a bank's name). 

If you got an SSA-1099, enter it in Federal > Wages and Income > Retirement > Social Security.

You can then efile.
